AWARDING THE DIFFERENCE MAKERS

The AWARE Foundation was founded in 1989 by private citizens in Arlington, Texas to reward exceptional teachers in the Arlington Independent School District. AWARE stands for Arlington Will Award and Recognize (Educational) Excellence.

AWARE is comprised entirely of volunteers and receives no public funds from AISD. The foundation receives teacher nominations from pre-kindergarten through high school for awards in five grade-level categories.
